He started playing music at a very young age, and his dad use to sneak him in the bars to get him on stage to play gigs, even when the regular band wasn't that great. People loved to see a 14-year-old kid up there playing guitar solos and singing George Jones. He was headed for the top at a very early age and first came to Nashville at 15 years old after winning a talent show in Diamondhead Mississippi. But, his family felt he needed to live his life as a kid and grow up first. Well, now he's back, and recording music at the age of 34.
